The Gator Mini-ITX™ Combines High-Performance And Power Saving Features In An Ultra-Compact Form Factor
MORGAN HILL, California (05/23/05) ---- American Predator Corporation today announced the specifications of the Gator Mini-ITX, another innovative addition to the family of long-life motherboards (five to eight year production guaranteed) based on the ultra-compact Mini-ITX form factor. The Mini-ITX measures 6.7"x 6.7", roughly 3" smaller in diameter than a MicroATX board, a perfect fit for small enclosures, thin clients and deeply embedded applications.
The Gator Mini-ITX is a low-power controller based on the ultra-compact Mini-ITX form factor. The Mini-ITX measures 6.7"x6.7", roughly 3" smaller in diameter than a MicroATX board, a perfect fit for small enclosures, thin clients and deeply embedded applications.
The Gator Mini-ITX supports low-power Intel® Pentium® M and Celeron® M processors. These mobile processors offer a higher performance-per-watt than a standard Intel® Pentium® 4 processor, and are cooled by a low-profile heatsink and fan. Space-saving features combined with the Gator Mini-ITX's power consciousness makes it the ideal platform for next generation embedded systems.
The Intel® 855GME chipset offers integrated Intel® Extreme Graphics 2 technology, optional LVDS with backlight support, Serial ATA for high-speed hard disk connectivity (150MB/s), AC'97 sound, and a host of standard I/O features. The chipset supports 400MHz front side bus, and allows up to 2GB of DDR 333/266 SDRAM. Ethernet options include 10/100 and 10/100/1000.
Standard features include: One (1) 32-bit PCI slot for legacy devices (supports 2 devices via optional riser card), One (1) Mini-PCI slot, 40 and 44-pin PATA/100 EIDE connectors, RS232 serial port options available: two (2) or six (6) ports, six (6) USB 2.0 ports, one (1) parallel port, one (1) PS/2 mouse/keyboard connector and a floppy controller supporting up to two (2) floppy drives.
"Our Gator Mini-ITX offers not only the best in cutting edge design, power-saving features and legacy support, but also, the product longevity that will keep our customer's products in the marketplace longer," said Mike Smith, Regional Sales Manager at American Predator.
"The Gator Mini-ITX's innovative features and scalable performance is unprecedented from a supplier guaranteeing up to eight years of production life".
The Gator Mini-ITX continues American Predator's commitment to providing long-life solutions and materials management. Like all American Predator products, the Gator Mini-ITX carries a written five (5) to eight (8) year product availability guarantee. This reduces the costs associated with product redesigns and recertifications that are triggered by obsolescence, a common occurrence when using commercial-grade motherboards.
Evaluation units of the Gator Mini-ITX will be available in June 2005. Please contactsales@corvalent.com or call 512-456-2400 or TOLL FREE 888-776-7896 for more information.
