The Windows XP Era is really coming to an end.

It’s incredible, but 2016 is already almost coming to an end... Even stores are already selling Christmas stuff! And you know what this means, right? The Windows XP era is really coming to an end!

Some of the critical dates are listed below, as well as Windows 7 dates for good measure:

OS End of Mainstream Support End of Extended Support End of Distribution Date
XP Pro 04/04/2009 04/08/2014 12/31/2016
Win 7 Pro 01/13/2015 01/14/2020 09/30/2024
Win 7 Ult 01/13/2015 01/14/2020 09/30/2024

The dates to worry about are in the last column. After this date, Microsoft and its partners (that includes us), will not be allowed to install and sell any Windows XP Pro systems. It is definitely time to make sure your system and software are compatible with Windows 7, either x32 or x64, before the time runs out.

Also consider Windows 10, now that Microsoft released its anniversary edition, with a very interesting new pricing method. Contact us for more details.

Keep in mind that we are here to help, and if you have a custom Windows XP image, we may even have some tricks up our sleeves to get you going for an additional year! (It’s a secret though).
