July 25, 2012, Cedar Park, TX – Corvalent, the leading supplier of embedded computing design and manufacturing, today announced its CEO Ed Trevis was unanimously elected to the Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
"I am honored to serve on the Board of the Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce," said Ed Trevis, President and CEO of Corvalent. "Cedar Park rolled out the red carpet for us when we relocated to the area from the Silicon Valley in California. We are glad to now be known as a Texas-based company and I am committed to helping Cedar Park become an even better community."
Corvalent's strong partnerships in the community have provided the company with continued opportunities for growth and success. Since moving its headquarters to Cedar Park approximately 3.5 years ago, Corvalent has moved into a new 24,000 square foot office space, doubled the number of its employees, grown an average of 30 percent each year, and entered a new market – oil and gas – which now represents 22 percent of its total revenues. In addition, operating costs have been greatly reduced since relocating to Texas, stronger benefits are available to its employees, and its business has expanded, with its products and services growing more than 100 percent.
Texas Governor Rick Perry validated Corvalent's success by selecting Corvalent headquarters to host a recent campaign event to endorse Cedar Park Councilman Tony Dale for the Texas House of Representatives and Representative Charles Schwertner for the Texas Senate. At this event, Trevis coined the popular new motto "Texas Works" as further testimony that Texas – and Cedar Park – are good for business.
