MORGAN HILL, CA and OTTAWA, Canada (06/05/07) - Corvalent, a pioneer in the design and manufacture of long-life Intel®- processor-based systems and single board computers for vertical market applications, and QNX Software Systems, a leading provider of operating system technology for the embedded and realtime computing market, have formed an alliance to enable Corvalent to include QNX® Neutrino® Real Time Operating System (RTOS) based software support for Corvalent's Global OEM customers.
Corvalent and QNX will collaborate in joint go-to-market strategies to enable Corvalent to offer developers support for embedded hardware/software solutions based on the QNX® Neutrino® RTOS for high-performance modular computing and integrated subsystem applications in the defense, industrial, medical, imaging, communications, and security markets.
Furthering its commitment to provide system designers with advanced and reliable embedded software, Corvalent will support board support packages (BSPs) and core drivers for the latest versions of the QNX Neutrino RTOS using QNX Momentics® development tools. Support for QNX Neutrino will be available on selected Corvalent single-board and low-powered computers, as well as new multi-core products such as the 965ATX featuring an Intel® Core™ 2 Duo microprocessor.
