The Ethics in Business and Community Award is an annual award given to local businesses and individuals who exemplify ethical practices in their day to day activities and endeavors. This award encourages dialogue within the community about ethics in business and was started in Central Texas by the Samaritan Center in 2001.
RecognizeGood, “a local nonprofit that provides a means for individuals, businesses and other nonprofits to illuminate selfless volunteers, charitable acts and community service throughout the greater Austin area” manages the nominations each year. Each nominee is researched and interviewed by select business students at Concordia University Texas during their study of ethical principles.
“It’s with a great honor we accept the nomination for Ethics in Business,” Said Ed Trevis, President and CEO of Corvalent. “Corvalent’s products and services are an integral and important component of critical equipment in the world today. From saving lives in Medical and Military Systems, to maximizing performance on Flight and Artificial Intelligent Simulations drives our organization and its people to the highest level of integrity and commitment to absolute quality. Promoting good and trust is part of our culture and it does reflect throughout our community. It is a legacy we live here every day.”
On May 17th the final awards will be announced at the annual luncheon that will include business leaders of Central Texas and over 700 other attendees. Earl Maxwell alongside Bobby Jenkins, President of ABC Home and Commercial Services, will be presenting at the awards ceremony.
